Plastics offer a very economical material alternative for
parts for diverse applications. One drawback, however, is
the 'plastic' feeling. It doesn't correspond well with the
image of a high-quality product. Iron powder has high density,
and its particles can be so small and even that a smooth surface
is obtained. Blending a fine iron powder into the plastic
gives components the right weight, and a more exclusive metallic
touch.
